A Final Message from Crime Stoppers of Lewis County

Crime Stoppers of Lewis County has served the Lewis County area, for the past 21 years. In that time, tips have led to 440 cleared cases, 356 arrests and a total dollar recovery of $3,296,653. A total of $45,975 has been paid out in rewards. We have enjoyed a lot of successes through the years.

However, times have change. There has been a large downturn in tips coming into the program and cleared cases have decreased dramatically. Board insurance now takes almost half the money raised in a fund-raiser over a four-year period. Social media allows other avenues for reporting crime information.

After careful consideration and discussions, the board has voted unanimously to cease operation and to dissolve the non-profit corporation.

The board would like to thank all those individuals, social organizations and businesses that supported Crime Stoppers through the years.  Without this generous support, Crime Stoppers would not have been successful.

Crime Stoppers has been running a child I.D program (fingerprint, photo, DNA) and would like to find a group to take this over.

Unfortunately, the Student Crime Stoppers programs in Chehalis and Adna school districts will end. We encourage them to work with local law enforcement to adopt a new program to replace Student Crime Stoppers.

Many people that have reported tips have not claimed their rewards. Any outstanding rewards must be claimed by September 20, 2016. To inquire about collecting a reward or about the child I.D. Program, call 360-740-2726.

Again, thank you all for your support!

– The Board of Crime Stoppers
